2018 and another year of Lyme Disease. As I look back over the last 12 months I see continued growth in my health and capability. I am lovin the growth and awareness that I feel.
I get down on my knees in appreciation for the progress in rebuilding my life. (And I can actually kneel down.) It shines a light on the power I have to craft my future, Lyme disease or no. Do you take the end of the year as an opportunity to examine your health from the long view? It’s a great practice.
I recommit in 2019 to sit in the driver’s seat of my life and plot my course.
Lovin The Growth In My Life And Health
Less time and money with health care team.
Before and for some time after my diagnosis, I spent a lot time at the doctors, chiropractor, herbalist, councilor, energy medicine healer, body worker, and Pilates teacher. There were so many things wrong with me. My health care team was all hands on deck. My symptom load and infection load needed to be brought under control quickly and in parallel. The hours and the dollars that went to medicines, supplements and my health care team really added up. I had to keep a steady hand on the wheel an believe this would not be my life forever.
Thank goodness health care expenditure of time and money has down shifted over the years to a comfortable amount. Still more than the average person maybe but manageable.
Bigger Can Do List
Life includes activities I enjoy. Regular gentle yoga class is part of my week. I found a wonderful teacher at Wachusett Wellness who is wise and supportive. Now I am back doing this practice that is so good for my mind and body.
Driving up to 6 hours in a day. Means improved stamina and focus. It means stringing errands and activities together to be efficient. I applied my newly rediscovered driving capacity to travel, training and completed my Ayurvedic Health Councilor program in 2018.
Health Improvements
Feeling better in many ways is bolstered by evidence of improvement. All the antibiotics I took blew out my guts. Nothing stayed in me for long. Now my gut is working better with more normal pooping. I can actually digest many of these nutrients I eat. I started gaining weight because I am digesting food rather than just pooping it away. Less pooping helps the travel and training in a big way.
Test results show my hormones levels are much healthier in the normal range! My temperature control systems work. I don’t feel dead inside, emotions are accessible. I have healthy head and body hair again.

With Lyme Disease Information Is Power
Undiscovered limits
For a few years I lived a small life because I needed to focus on healing. It is too easy to get used to living small. Now I need to figure out how much living is healthy for me. Keep pushing my boundaries to truly understand my capabilities.
After Lyme disease 1 or 2 hours of driving exhausted me. Pennsylvania seem so far away, until I drove there. In many ways I really don’t know just how much I can accomplish. I need to play and challenge myself in new ways to find my boundaries. Choose to live the largest healthy life I can.
Deepen growing awareness of the opportunity to remake yourself post Lyme. Figure out what will bring you joy. Learn and grow in ways you have not even thought about. Try new things on and see what fits. May 2019 be a year of evolving health, learning and growth for us all. Blessings & Happy New Year!

I was diagnosed of Lyme disease four years ago. I was so terribly sick. I think my worst complaint was the severe headache. I was taken doxycycline hyclate 100 mg as treatment for Lyme disease, twice a day for 21 days. and didn’t seem to be improving. I did not display a rash or any kind of bull’s eye. Diagnosis was from blood test. We tried every shots available but nothing worked. My Lyme Disease got significantly worse and unbearable because of her cognitive thinking. In 2015, our physician advised we go with natural treatment and was introduced to Organic Herbal Clinic natural organic Lyme Disease Herbal formula, I had a total decline of symptoms with this treatment, the fever, joint pain, weakness, shortness of breath, and anxiety. and others has subsided.
