I did a lot of personal learning with Lyme Disease last year. My exploration of Lyme Lessons filled my blogs. I wrote one post about my experiences in 2018 already but I guess I wasn’t done. It is easy to get stuck in the challenges of Lyme, I am pushing my self to celebrate the successes.
2018 Lyme Lessons & Successes
Systems Repair
The need for deep (digestive, hormonal, nervous) systems repair became crystal clear to me. These repairs may take more than one attempt, need an order to them in order to be successful. This year I worked on digestive tract repair and adrenal fatigue. I feel better for the work.
How long you have had Lyme and how depleted you are will determine how necessary this is. On the other hand supporting key systems will only help health overall. The effort and expense of determining which of your systems need help can take time and require patience.
Beat Back Pain & Inflammation with CBD And Cannibus
CBD derived from Hemp and cannabis use is legal in more and more states. Preliminary research shows that both CBD and cannabis is effective to help manage Lyme Pain, sleep difficulties and anxiety. More research is underway to determine how effective cannabis is as a killing agent for borellia organisms.
Chronic pain, saps your energy and drains your hope. Love yourself enough to go balls to the wall to feel good. Minimizing pain is one of the Lyme lessons I got in spade s in 2018. Take all your tools and apply them to get out from under chronic pain.
Do More With Regained Strength
One of the biggest Lyme lessons is as you regain strength test limits. Early in my Lyme disease experience, inflammation and pain put hard limits around what I could do. I was weak, hurty and exhausted and couldn’t really do too much with any safety.
Necessary as those limits were at the time, I need to remember they aren’t permanent. This year I began to really push at those Lyme life boundaries to figure out if the hard limits were still necessary. Many were not. I needed to do more and in the doing understand what I can actually do. I love that my world is bigger and I am more capable.
Celebrate Successes
