Ease is so elusive in our busy world.  Most people tend towards overwhelm and exhaustion.  Add the need for treatment and to balance cycles of feeling well then poorly from chronic Lyme.   Is there any possibility of ease?

I have ease in my life and  hope you can too.

Ease is an absence of difficulty or stress, or boredom.  Create a life with just the right amount of activity to keep you easeful, engaged, happy, and healing.  Ease is an ideal spot for healing because if we cultivate ease  this frees up space to build structures and mental energy to support healing.

Ease underpins a hormonal environment for healing.  Stress and overwhelm tax our minds and bodies. Ease balances of work and rest and in that balance enables enjoyment and relaxation.  Get out of fright flight or freeze mode find relaxation and engage with the present.

Find ease on Mountain RoadsThink about it as a drive in the mountains on Maui.  These are the kind of roads they won’t let you take rental cars on.   The middle of the road is ease.  On one side is a rock wall of immobility and depression on the other is the sheer drop off of overwhelm.  The slope of the road, the bumpiness and width vary.  There are sharp turns where you can’t see what is ahead of you or a stake in the road and you can’t see what is supporting it.

Accelerate when the road is wide and clear.  Be ready when things change. Moment to moment you learn to check in, pay attention and change speed as necessary. Keep your eye on the ball as you hold the middle of the road, otherwise you hit the rock wall or drive off a cliff.  When possible we need to treat our lives like this journey.

“Easeful living is defined by how you orient your awareness and what this perpetuates. ”  Cate Stillman Body Thrive
