Do You Tap Your Reiki Practice?
Maybe you don’t know what Reiki is, or maybe you have just heard the term. So what is Reiki? Reiki is a spiritual practice and an active energetic form of self care. Some people call it hands on healing. It fits snuggly into the Dare to self care tool box. Once you get the training, use and expand your Reiki practice in a way that suits your schedule and meets your needs.
I started to go to Reiki sessions for the pain, stress and sleep troubles associated with Lyme Disease. I wanted to use as little medicine as necessary pharmaceuticals as possible to manage the inflammation and pain. To that end I also looked to diet and lifestyle and non drug treatment options like, massage, meditation Reiki and Ondamed to relieve some of the load. It then made sense to get trained and develop my own Reiki Practice. Reiki helps well or sick.
Expand your Reiki Practice for these great benefits.
- Boosts energy levels
- Releases stress
- Sharpens mental focus
- Promotes bodies self healing
- Sets you up for restful sleep
- Supports healthy blood pressure
- Helps relieve pain
- Assists normal detox
Who doesn’t want the stuff on this list?
Many styles of Reiki use sitting meditation as part of their training. I consider Reiki a form of meditation, but not only meditation. Reiki is perfect for self help and self healing. You can do Reiki on yourself after some training or go to a practitioner for focused work. I went the practitioner then the training route. I trained in Reiki to support my own wellness and to help others. Practice can be as little as 5 minutes each day or much more. When I first started my practice, I did a morning healing practice then pretty much forgot about Reiki for the day. I realized I was missing an opportunity to help myself.
At Reiki sharing events, (A Reiki share is a get together where people practice Reiki with each other.) I started to hear talk about using Reiki much more extensively. I realized that the people I know who get the most benefit connect to and use Reiki all the time.
My teacher weaves her Reiki practice powerfully and seamlessly through her life. Potent Stuff. Find a teacher like mine who really walks the talk. Whose Reiki practice makes your jaw drop in awe. Here is a link with more information on the practice of Reiki and a nation wide list of practitioners.
So I am expanding my practice to be inclusive in my daily life. Have fun with Reiki and see how it can help throughout each day. Here is an example of my yesterday.
