It is doable most of the time at home to eat gluten free. I cook at home for the majority of our meals and make sure of the materials. I use and love a variety of GF products in my pantry to widen my foods flavors. The Gluten Free Expo is an fun way to try product options to bring into your kitchen.
Summer is great because of all the fresh local produce, but it can be tough too. Because summer is cookout season. You can be asked to a cookout aeach weekend starting Memorial Day and continue right through July 4th weekend. What do you bring? How much do you tell them about your “dietary restrictions”? It is awkward to feel like a burden to your host. The questions and sense of requiring extra work is not fun. Over it.
Now if you have a cookout coming up, no problem. Pack the cooler and off you go. Make a salad or side you know is safe. Be sure it is something you like to eat. Pick up a pack of GF rolls, like Udis whole grain hamburger buns and you’ve got things covered.
Munch and talk with a burger in a bun instead of having to explain to relative strangers the story of your life and your food. Yeah! Gluten free rolls to the rescue. In the past the gluten free rolls I had tried weren’t good, but now they work. Now They taste good, and hold together while you eat them, in other words do their job. So happy to have found a GF alternative!
Where did I discover these rolls? The Gluten Free Expo.
Last year I went on a learning exploration. I decided get involved and to blog about it. It was a really fun day. My hubbie who is mostly gluten free because he lives with me munched up and down the aisles. I was surprised by the quality and variety of products available. The knowledge of these products allows me the freedom to have fun with my food once in a while and be secure I won’t be hurting myself.
Blogging for the expo again this year, to continue to explore and have fun. It is important to me that I know about the alternative food options to help others in need.
Some people want to eat gluten free who don’t have Celiac Disease. If you trying to recover from leaky gut, or Lyme disease or other chronic illnesses you need to work with your health care team and address lifestyle issues. If you are trying to eat gluten free, or dairy or allergen free and struggling to find safe ideas and flavors the Expo is an easy way to get a ton of exposure in the gluten free allergen friendly world. Join us!
Wonder what I am going to discover this year at the GF& AF Expo?
Samples abound that you can try and be safe. Find the products that will fit into and enhance your food. Last year it was just one day. This year it is expanded to a two day event. Have a fun day or a fun weekend.
