Help To Build Your Health Care Team

Initially it was challenging to keep all my appointments, medicines, supplements, and self-care routines on schedule.  My husband lent a hand to keep things straight and schlepped me around to all my appointments

I needed to write things down, so I could follow through.  Before each appointment, I wrote a letter to my doctor to be sure I remembered my symptom issues.  I read the letter at my appointment to remind me.

Physical Lyme Help You May Need

Sometimes people sick with Lyme are physically weak, or exhausted so they need assistance with day to day physical tasks. Rides to appointments, cleaning, shopping, even reminders might just be the thing to offer.  Or just ask  your friend with Lyme what do you need for Lyme healing support?  Do you need me to assemble furniture, walk the dog or pick up a package?

I remember my house get filthy, because I lacked the physical energy to clean.  For months vacuuming and floor washing were more than I could handle. When a good friend came over and started picking up dust balls, I knew I needed support to get back on track. Living in dust and dirt was a downer and not helping my recovery.

Lyme made me exhausted and filled my body with pain.  I have a friend who was a Pilates instructor and is a massage therapist who gave me deeply discounted classes as soon as I was able to do them and massages during my recovery process.  In desperate need of core strength, the gentle, beginners classes were an amazing gift to help me rebuild. Later I worked with her on shows for her business.

Mental Lyme Help

Neuroboreallis has its own set of problem.  Your brain stops working in unexpected ways.  Simple tasks can be frustrating or impossible.  There are days where you forget where you are supposed to be.  Offer to do a 5 minute google calendar review or a reminder call, a couple of times a week to help your family or friend with Lyme stay on track.

For a long time, reading a novel or instructions was off the table.  I used audiobooks to help me to start to read again.  Library runs for audio books or an audible membership gift might be just the way to support a friend.

No Family Nearby Able to Help With Lyme Healing Support – Expand Your Reach

No family near by? Your friends want you to get better. You may not have a massage therapist as a friend, if instead your bestie is a professional shopper or a dog walker, they may be able to offer different Lyme healing support. If you have gaps in the help you need, hire someone if you can afford it, ask about discounts or do some work trade if you can’t. I had a friend who worked with her cleaning lady design a logo and put up a website in exchange for discounted cleaning. Physically she was not up to the task of heavy cleaning but offered to help in ways she could. Everybody was happy with the results.
